As a DMS Process Improvement Manager on the DMS Special Operations Team, you will be accountable for driving breakthrough improvement to the most critical, complex, cross-functional processes across the company’s value streams. You will coach, mentor, and train multiple project teams of Lean Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts on specialized LSS tools, methodologies, and technology. Additionally, you will apply your arsenal of Lean technical skills to oversee the execution of data collection, data analysis, root cause analysis, and statistical process control. You will develop relationships with the most influential stakeholders of the company (up to the C-Suite) and serve as an expert facilitator in stakeholder engagements to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, manage change, and ultimately deliver high-ROI, sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities
Ensures the successful execution of 8-12 Lean Six Sigma projects annually (2-3 projects simultaneously per quarter) to deliver financial benefits, reduce risk, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance speed to market
Partners with business units to identify opportunities for the project pipeline
Ensures that project goals align to business unit strategic objectives
Coaches project teams to collaborate effectively with team members and understand customer/business needs
Forges and maintains strong relationships with senior stakeholders to deliver project results, including cross-functional work teams, Project Steering Committee, and support functions
Applies Lean expertise to the continuous process improvement of DMS Special Operations
Coaches the project teams’ analysis of the current state, root-cause-analysis, benchmarking, idea generation, future state design, implementation plan, and control plan
Coaches Black Belts and Green Belts on the development and delivery of communications materials (including tollgate reviews) to the highest levels of company leadership
Skills:
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or related field (Master’s Degree Preferred)
4+ years of experience as a Project Manager / LSS Black Belt executing cross-functional Lean projects
6+ years total process improvement experience (preferably in Financial Services, the Service Industry, or Consulting)
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (ASQ preferred)
Advanced knowledge of MS Applications to include Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
Minimum intermediate knowledge of Minitab
Outstanding communicator and facilitator for large groups, including senior leaders
