ABOUT THE ROLE

ShopRunner has an exciting opportunity within our Product Operations team to enable product launches for our Marketplace Services (MaaS) program. Be one of the pioneers of product operations at ShopRunner where we are committed to empowering the Product organization to communicate and collaborate program status and goals across teams and functions along with planning future growth. While focusing on the tactical execution of our MaaS launches, you will work closely with Engineering along with all Marketing, Business and Operations teams to create a 360 degree view of the execution. You’ll work side-by-side with our Director of Product Operations to establish the foundation of the function at ShopRunner and scale into the future.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS

  • Drive effective and efficient teamwork, communication and commitment across MaaS program teams and functions (i.e. product, engineering, analytics, marketing, operations, etc) 
  • Work closely with our external partners to facilitate the exchange of information between our marketplace and supplier partners and the ShopRunner team
  • Train and evaluate third party vendors responsible for operations intensive aspects of our marketplace platform
  • Facilitate and establish the forum(s) and cadence for regular status updates
  • Communicate timely project status updates, issues and risks in a concise, accurate and data-driven manner across internal teams

PLANNING 

  • Develop cross-functional project plans for MaaS alpha launches and product releases; gathering timelines and dependencies from all areas of the program
  • Determine the criteria for and initiate the handoff from Product to Operations between alpha/beta phases into general acceptance
  • Represent the product perspective while liaising with Business Development teams to evaluate product parity with our platform for prospective partners

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end project launch cycle (alpha, beta, GA) to collect, quantify, curate and communicate actionable product enhancement feedback from internal and external stakeholders 
  • Manage product and feature sunset process, with cross-functional collaboration and appropriate decision-making oversight
  • Maintain an eye toward continuous improvement for operational aspects of marketplace launches and supplier onboarding
  • Manage the product stack and tool selection to support the programs, optimize tooling to fit into budget, and ensure best practices of use.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Partner with product, engineering, design, marketing, analytics, operations, integrations, finance, sales and partner success to launch new marketplaces and onboard suppliers
  • Establish milestones and track progress across teams for projects
  • Facilitate action and decision-making among stakeholders to move projects forward
  • Partner with Product and Operations to determine resource requirements to support the marketplace platform 
  • Anticipate project roadblocks and bottlenecks as well as adapt quickly to schedule shifts and resource constraints. 
  • Own the development and maintenance of project documentation to ensure continuous alignment across team members and between departments

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Exceptional customer and vendor relationship management skills: you develop strong relationships based on trust and empathy with external customers and stakeholders and can manage expectations between them and our team
  • Tactical & Strategic -- you can go back and forth between managing the project timeline and advocating for the team to jumping into the weeds to help knock out tasks (i.e. uploading product inventory)
  • 3+ years of project management in a business or product organization
  • Bonus points for experience within an ecommerce or high-growth tech startup
  • A focus on scale with the flexibility to adapt in a constantly evolving environment
  • Experienced in partnering with and bringing multiple departments into alignment
  • Strong internal communication skills: Able to communicate complex data in a simple format to share decisions, processes and tradeoffs
  • Process obsessed with a bias toward action
