ABOUT THE ROLE
Pangea is seeking a Scrum master to join our growing engineering team. The Scrum master will be Pangea’s Agile champion, guiding the team on how to use Scrum and other Agile practices. The Scrum master will also be responsible for organizing and facilitating project planning, daily scrum, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning as needed by the scrum teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Scrum methods are being followed as agreed upon by team
- Remove barriers for product development team
- Coach team members on Scrum and agile best practices, including self-organization and cross-functionality
- Remove impediments to the team’s progress to its sprint commitments
- Enact continuous improvement to increase productivity of the team and quality of deliverables
- Track and communicate sprint/release progress
- Proactively participate in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- 3+ years in Agile project management
- Experience with Project Tracking tools such as JIRA
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to team members of all levels
- Instill Agile values to make teams productive
- Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle, as well as high level technical issues
- Understand Agile software development values, principles, roles, cadence, flow and practices, including backlog sizing and release planning
- Propose creative and efficient solutions to complex, time-critical problems
