Senior Consultant, Operational Resilience
The Role
The Senior Consultant, Operational Resilience will work with c-suite executives to develop a strategy and roadmap towards a more resilient organization. By leveraging your experience combined with your understanding of the client's business objectives, you will partner with the c-suite to articulate the value and vision of operational resilience and the importance of weaving risk into the decision fabric of their organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as a change agent to help clients break down silos and facilitate cross-functional alignment on their resilience strategy, approach and program deliverables
- Paint the big picture of the possibilities, power, and control an Operational Resilience program can bring to the C-Suite, including the role and importance of the risk, continuity, and other building blocks.
- Work collaboratively with Fusion clients to define and build the client's more resilient business operations strategy. Start by analyzing the client's current state. Next, design the future state and roadmap for the client's Operational Resilience journey based on the client's desired outcomes and best practices.
- Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Fusion client c-suite by providing best practice recommendations during the requirements process and throughout the engagement
- Establish yourself as a domain and solution expert in the eyes of the client c-suite as well as technical audiences.
- Lead from the front in defining strategies and approaches to establish credibility for Fusion's risk and resilience solutions with target accounts.
- Surface the hurdles ahead in breaking down long-standing silos of risk, and pivot to working with practitioners to create an actionable plan.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Product, and Engineering to facilitate the delivery of accurate and thoroughly scoped business requirements for each phase on the client's roadmap
- Manage multiple senior clients, projects and responsibilities simultaneously and consistently with minimal supervision.
- Effectively report and communicate to project teams, including client stakeholders and internal management teams.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the functional architecture of the Fusion Risk Management platforms, solutions, functionality and features.
- Develop and initiate client engagement strategies, communication plans and training plans to increase effectiveness, awareness and adoption of Fusion's Risk and Resilience solution(s).
- Utilize company CRM tools to optimize Sales and Implementation activities.
- Continue to innovate and improve processes, playbooks and supporting resources for the Operational Resilience program
- Capture and provide "voice of the client" feedback and suggestions around new and incremental product features to Product Management
- Partner with Customer Success and Account Management to drive the continued evolution of a clients' operational resilience, maintaining relationships and demonstrating key business outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred or related experience
- 7+ years of demonstrated success leading business continuity programs, risk management programs, operational resilience programs or demonstrable risk consulting engagements
- Experience designing and implementing solutions meeting needs and challenges facing today's financial services institutions
- 5+ years working with sophisticated business intelligence solutions - SaaS experience is preferable
- Proficiency with Salesforce or prior and current technical expertise in web technology and the ability to learn new technology.
- Proven pre-sales skills: able speak to relevant value in a way that's compelling and memorable
- Ability to establish credibility with executives, decision-makers, and technical influencers
- Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing and product development
- Enabling the team and diversifying usage, retaining, and upselling in defined accounts
- Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing and product development
- Extensive experience and working knowledge in the Financial Services Industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively navigate client matrix organizations and build relationships with clients at a program ownership and executive level
- Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
- A client centric positive mindset
- Acts independently to define requirements and recommend solutions on new or special assignments.
- Strong trouble-shooting skills that shines when problem solving and assisting others
- Attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task while adhering to deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality solutions
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time when permissible
