Job Description
Responsible for providing oversight and governance for new initiatives presented through programs and corresponding risk and control activities. Ensures the execution of program requirements across the company. Manages team responsibilities independently, establishing direction, and prioritizing efforts. Serve as subject matter expert on multiple and highly complex business activities. Manages and facilitates the committee operations and ensures charter execution. Demonstrate broad perspective and critical thinking that is cross functional, extending beyond area(s) of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team in the execution of risk oversight activities associated with the identification, assessment, monitoring and compliance of new initiatives program enterprise-wide. Provide leadership, mentoring and development to the team.
- Challenge the status quo by evaluating situations from multiple facets. Able to lead discussions with senior management as well as demonstrate influence and decision-making across levels.
- Act in a consultative nature and make recommendations to advance initiatives, even if not in own area, while also demonstrating flexibility and open-mindedness in evaluating options.
- Monitors committee operations and facilitation of agenda, materials, and charter requirements
- Monitors and reports on compliance with policies and procedures for identifying, managing, monitoring, and reporting of new initiatives.
- Actively participate in the effective challenge of policy and standards and regulatory compliance by ensuring alignment with risk framework.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Information Technology or Business
- Master’s degree in Information Technology or Finance preferred.
- 6+ years’ experience in Risk management or related in a financial services environment.
- In Lieu of education 10+ years’ experience in Risk management or related in a financial services environment.
