Job Description
Responsible for managing projects and/ or strategic initiatives from inception to implementation. Manages all aspects of the project, specific priority or initiatives over its entire life including: the initiation, plan development, execution, controls, and implementation.
This role is accountable for leading the strategic priority or project team and working with cross functional stakeholders to ensure projects or initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and meeting intended business objectives. This includes the development and management of initiative charters, success metrics, communication plans, status tracking reports and updates. To be successful, the ideal candidate requires strong leadership and organizational skills. This role also requires a resourcefulness with the ability to manage ambiguity to drive results and accountability across multiple stakeholders and teams.
Responsibilities
- Track and review strategic initiatives within the Client Support Operations team to ensure successful delivery of department objectives
- Lead and manage mid and long-term strategic initiatives
- Work cross-functionally to develop processes that ensure appropriate prioritization and approvals for strategic initiatives
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional workshops to refine and optimize all elements of strategy
- Support and execute the department’s internal integrated communication strategy
- Acts as a liaison between the business and development resources. Manages all aspects of each project. Leads project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet business needs.
- Assembles project teams. Aligns roles and responsibilities for all project resources. Ensures project progress is tracked and team members are providing progress updates.
- Assists with business requirements analyses. Manages project scopes, issues, and risks. Ensures change controls are executed appropriately. Estimates work efforts and manages resources accordingly.
- Documents agendas, meeting minutes, action items, project plans, and issue logs. Communicates statuses to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Information Technology, Business, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
- 8+ years of experience in Operations, Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related experience
- Payment services experience/knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent relationship management/consultation skills
- Creative and energetic teammate who embraces change and has a desire to continually improve
- Ability to understand other teams’ needs; resourceful in finding solutions to business problems
- Agile and/or Kanban
- PMP
