Forecasts raw material needs, maintains inventory, and executes purchasing through the ERP. Supports production planning for converting and coating lines, manages supplier relationships, invoices, BOMs, and supplier performance, and resolves accounting/quality issues to ensure on-time supply and product quality.
JOB SUMMARY
Forecasts raw material needs, maintain inventory levels, works with ERP to purchase raw materials and provides secondary planning support for production and converting lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Forecast and sustain appropriate levels for raw material needs.
- Procurement of raw materials based on planning and inventory requirements.
- Maintain inventory and develop supply chain processes to support purchase and planning of both raw materials and trading goods.
- Planning and Purchasing of all Trading Goods through ERP system
- Implements necessary Purchasing Procedures in compliance with Orafol policies
- Revise open order quantities, pricing, and delivery Knowledge of Inventory Management and Supply Chain Operations
- Work closely with both external and Inter-company suppliers.
- Post Supplier invoices and maintain organization of purchasing data.
- Provide statistical analysis of pricing and volumes for raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Able to plan converting to meet both Made-to-Stock and Made-to-Order
- Able to plan Coating to align with Converting requirements.
- Assist in resolving accounting, quality, invoicing, supplier issues and concerns
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Complies with environmental and corporate safety regulations as well as United States laws;
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Work closely with operations and warehouse team to communicate all required information on the procurement or receipt of raw materials, trading goods and packaging supplies.
- Disposition material in the appropriate stock locations
- Assist in processing final disposition of supplier complaint materials
- Evaluate and Audit Supplier performance in adherence to Company Standards
- Identify Suppliers for Product material requirements in adherence to Orafol Policy.
- Perform business projects as assigned to develop optimal supply in supporting Black Creek Facility of raw materials, packaging supplies and trading goods.
- Manage the order process including delivery schedule for incoming Tanker Trucks with raw materials.
- Manage item configuration of existing and new products including bill of materials, labeling, and packaging requirements.
- Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOL’s Quality Program
Education Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Production Scheduling, Demand Planning, and Resource Allocation
