Reports to: Director, Security Operations and Enablement
Location: Remote US
Compensation Range: $185,000 to $200,000 base plus bonus and equity
What We Do:
Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.
Huntress now secures more than 5M+ endpoints and 15M+ identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
What You’ll Do:
You are an outcome-obsessed quality leader who builds the measurement, governance, and controls that help Huntress safely expand agentic security operations. You bring Candor to independent validation, making quality signals visible and actionable while keeping the focus on improving the security decision-making system, not evaluating individual analysts.
You will build the QMS from the ground up and improve it as the Agentic SOC evolves. Perfect Imperfection guides how you establish practical standards, Give a $h* t drives you to own quality risks through resolution, and Give More Than We Take shows up in the reusable insights and feedback you create for Analysis, Product, Engineering, and Security Operations.
This role begins as a hands-on builder without an immediate team, but it is expected to grow into leadership of the QMS function. Over time, you will hire, coach, and manage the people responsible for extending quality across the security decision-making system.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the Security Quality Management System across agentic investigations and human-led investigations.
- Establish sampling methodologies, review cadences, quality standards, and validation criteria for decisions, workflows, escalations, and remediations.
- Independently review agentic investigation outcomes and compare agentic decisions with expert analyst outcomes to establish trusted human baselines.
- Monitor decision quality, workflow effectiveness, behavioral drift, and recurring failure patterns, escalating significant risks before they affect customers.
- Produce quality scorecards and reporting that explain accuracy, trends, confidence intervals, and operational impact to leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action validation, then turn findings into practical improvements with Analysis, Product, Engineering, and Security Operations.
- Use AI tools to work faster and smarter on everyday analysis, reporting, and synthesis while applying sound judgment to validate outputs.
What You Bring To The Team:
- You have 5+ years of experience building or managing quality, governance, operational excellence, or control programs, ideally in a security operations environment.
- You have experience managing people, setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and building team capability.
- You bring a security operations background and understand how SOC investigations, analyst decisions, escalations, and remediation outcomes fit together.
- You can design meaningful quality measurements, sampling approaches, review processes, and reporting that distinguish signal from noise.
- You are comfortable building a program from scratch, defining practical standards, and improving them as systems, workflows, and operational needs change.
- You communicate findings directly and constructively, maintain independence in your assessments, and turn quality risks into clear corrective actions.
- You use AI tools to improve day-to-day analysis and reporting while checking outputs carefully and keeping judgment, accuracy, and accountability with you.
What We Offer:
- 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
- Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
- 12 weeks of paid parental leave
- Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans
- 401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution
- Life and Disability insurance plans
- Stock options for all full-time employees
- One-time $500 reimbursement for building/upgrading home office
- Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance
- $75 USD/month digital reimbursement
- Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth
