ARSIEM is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to support the development and delivery of Microsoft 365 solutions for a federal customer. The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for planning and executing functional testing, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), validating application requirements, managing project documentation, and ensuring Microsoft 365 solutions meet Government quality standards prior to production deployment.
The successful candidate will work closely with Government stakeholders, developers, and project teams to verify application functionality, document requirements, track defects, and support the successful delivery of Power Platform and SharePoint solutions.
This position is primarily remote.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and maintain functional and business requirements for Microsoft 365 application development efforts.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and acceptance criteria for Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Forms, Power BI, and related Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Validate application enhancements, bug fixes, configuration changes, and new functionality prior to production deployment.
- Document, track, and verify software defects through resolution and retesting.
- Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing activities with Government stakeholders and end users.
- Ensure developed solutions satisfy documented business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Create, update, and maintain project documentation, including requirements documents, test documentation, user guides, release notes, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and release planning activities.
- Review project deliverables for completeness, quality, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
- Track testing progress, quality metrics, risks, issues, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with developers and technical staff to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and improve overall solution quality.
- Support continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, testing standards, and documentation practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting software quality assurance, application testing, or Microsoft 365 application development in a corporate or government environment.
- Experience performing functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of business applications.
- Experience developing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and documenting testing results.
- Experience documenting or validating functional and business requirements.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies, including one or more of the following:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Forms
- Power BI
- Microsoft Teams
- Dataverse
- Experience using defect tracking, issue management, or work management tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an Agile software development environment.
- Ability to complete IRS MBI/security onboarding and required federal security training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Microsoft Power Platform or SharePoint Online application development projects.
- Experience coordinating user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.
- Experience creating requirements documentation, test documentation, user guides, and knowledge articles.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Planner, or similar project management and work tracking tools.
- Experience supporting Federal Government software development projects.
- Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), release management, and application lifecycle management (ALM).
- Experience supporting Microsoft Dataverse, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 governance initiatives.
- Experience reviewing deliverables for Section 508 accessibility or documentation compliance.
