  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming raw materials, components, finished goods and purchased parts according to specifications and quality standards utilizing a wide variety of measurement tools (surface plates, calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.)
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues, provide feedback, and ensure timely resolution of non-conformances.
  • Perform, coordinate, and manage gage calibration and verification.
  • Verify supplier documentation, including Certificates of Compliance, test reports, and material certifications.
  • Record and communicate inspection results, nonconformance data, and material disposition into the QMS & ERP systems.
  • Identify, segregate, and disposition non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure accurate inventory through timely processing of material transactions in ERP system.
  • Conduct routine end-to-end inspections and audits throughout production to ensure compliance with work instructions, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for in-process non-conformances.
  • Assist in supplier quality audits and evaluations as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area using 5S methods.
  • Follow established plant and safety rules & regulations including PPE.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, metrology and measurement tools.
  • CMM experience with PC-DMIS is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to read, follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills for root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards is a plus.

Physical Demands:

Physical requirements include: good vision and hearing; ability to stand and walk, lift and carry up to 35 pounds occasionally and/or 10 pounds occasionally; stoop, crouch, kneel reach for and handle items, pick, pinch or otherwise work with the fingers and use the fingertips to perceive attributes of objects such as size, shape and surface finish. 

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a typical manufacturing plant environment under the following conditions: noise, fumes, dust, and high voltage electric current. Some duties are performed outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

Compensation
The estimated pay rate for this position is
$27-$31/Hr , depending on skills and experience. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and qualifications.
