About the role
- As we continue to grow, Rancho BioSciences is seeking an experienced and dynamic R&D Consulting Principal to join our team. This role is critical in driving results across multiple projects, ensuring successful execution, strategic alignment, and effective team collaboration. The R&D Consulting Principal will oversee and drive engagements in data-related and technology-driven projects while maintaining strong client engagement and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Manage and lead consulting projects focused on establishing data strategies, optimizing R&D processes, and accelerating time-to-market for life sciences clients
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights, operational improvements, and digital transformation strategies within R&D functions
- Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to identify pain points, develop solutions, and implement industry best practices in drug discovery and clinical trials
- Drive project execution, ensuring milestones, budgets, and deliverables are met while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction
- Lead and facilitate interviews and workshops with key stakeholders, focusing on data-driven decision-making, analytics strategy, and technology adoption in R&D
- Create high quality presentations, reports, and financial models to support client engagements
- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, client discussions, and identifying new consulting opportunities
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on Life Sciences R&D, working with pharmaceutical or biotech companies
- Experience leading consulting engagements and managing cross-functional teams in a client-facing environment, ensuring successful project execution
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, develop strategic recommendations, and drive implementation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives, facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and create /deliver compelling presentations
- Experience in defining epics, features, and user stories to support digital transformation initiatives, technology implementations, and process improvements in Life Sciences R&D
