About the Role

We are seeking a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Professional with about 2-5 years of experience who will drive hiring efforts to support our growing teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-informed, relationship-oriented, and excited to help shape hiring processes that deliver great hires efficiently. 

The Recruiter will be responsible for coordinating searches with hiring managers, implementing recruiting best practices, managing the process from start to finish, and improving our hiring processes and candidate experience.

Location:
Full Office - this role is a 5 days a week office role in the CodeHS Chicago Office in River North.

Compensation Range: $70k - $87k



What You’ll Do
  • Partner with hiring managers across departments to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and team culture
  • Develop, execute, and continuously improve sourcing strategies (e.g. internal referrals, job boards, LinkedIn, etc.) to build pipelines of high-quality candidates
  • Screen candidates, conduct interviews (phone/video/in-person), and facilitate the full hiring cycle, including scheduling, feedback, and process optimization
  • Maintain a consistent and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruiting process
  • Own and report on recruiting metrics (e.g. time to hire, offer acceptance rate, source effectiveness) and use data to improve processes and resource allocation
  • Assist with onboarding to ensure a seamless transition for new hires



Qualifications & Skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting. Education or Tech industry recruiting experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to source proactively, using both active and passive candidate pipelines
  • Strong interviewing skills and sound judgment in evaluating candidates’ fit, both technically and culturally
  • Technology and data forward mindset. Ability to use available tools to create seamless and efficient processes that can be replicated across teams.
  • Solid data literacy: able to track metrics, analyze recruiting data, and present insights to leadership
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong stakeholder management, ability to partner with hiring managers
  • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for creating a positive candidate experience and continuous improvement in hiring processes
