Job Summary

The Recruitment Program Manager develops and executes strategic, firm‑wide initiatives that strengthen the full lifecycle of the summer associate program and related recruitment activities across 60+ offices. This role plays a key part in shaping the firm’s recruitment strategy and strengthening its talent acquisition brand—positioning the firm as an employer of choice for top legal talent.

Partnering closely with Office Managing Partners, the Talent Acquisition team, and local office leadership, the manager drives innovative outreach, candidate engagement, and selection efforts that reflect the firm’s values and long‑term hiring priorities. The manager ensures a high‑quality, well‑coordinated summer associate program that both elevates the firm’s recruitment brand and supports a strong pipeline of future attorneys. Essential Functions

Recruitment & Hiring Support

  • Collaborate with local office leadership and the Talent Acquisition Team to develop and execute recruiting strategies for law students.
  • Coordinate outreach to target law schools, participate in OCI scheduling, and manage student communication throughout the recruiting process.
  • Develop strong relationships with top Law School career personnel
  • Work with office leaders to identify attorney interviewers, organize callback logistics, and support hiring decisions.
  • Maintain recruiting timelines, track outcomes, and ensure consistency in hiring materials and candidate experience.

Onboarding & Program Support

  • Partner with the talent acquisition, learning, HR Operations, and communications teams to support the coordination of the onboarding process for incoming summer associates, including welcome communications, orientation planning, and creation/distribution of program materials.

Cross Functional Collaboration and Program Management

  • Lead the program’s strategic direction by leveraging internal data insights and industry best practices to shape an integrated approach.
  • Maintain and report program wide data to leadership to drive unified approach to finding strong talent
  • Partner regularly with Office Managing Partners, Regional Talent leaders, and the HR/Talent Acquisition teams to ensure alignment across the firm.
  • Collaborate with the communication and marketing teams to craft our entry –level talent acquisition brand strategy, collateral, and other materials.
  • Share best practices and contribute to firmwide recruiting initiatives and resources.
  • Support other talent acquisition projects and programatic hiring as needed.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Experience managing a successful recruitment or talent program required; preferably early career programs.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships across all seniority levels and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of discretion and judgment; strong client service orientation.
  • Highly collaborative, responsive, and professional.
  • Demonstrates poise, sound judgment, and the ability to influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to gauge shifting priorities and work efficiently to meet fast‑paced demands.
  • Familiar with college recruitment platforms, and technologies utilized for bulk interviewing.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of legal recruiting, talent acquisition, professional development, or related experience (law firm preferred).

For those applying for a position in the city of Los Angeles, the firm will consider for employment qualified applicants with a criminal history in a manner consistent with applicable federal, state and local law.

For New York City Metro area, the expected salary range for this position is between $105,000 and $120,000.   The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. 

For Los Angeles Metro area, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $115,000.   The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. 

In accordance with the Chicago Metro area, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $95,000 and $110,000.  This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.   The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
