About this opportunity
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - Ohio Valley Public Sector is responsible for driving sales within an assigned territory, delivering exceptional customer service, and expanding Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions' presence through customer engagements, trade shows, and channel partner collaboration. This is a fully remote position; candidates must currently reside within Ohio. Relocation assistance is not offered. The RSM will work closely with the Inside Sales Team and Sales Engineering to lead territory strategy, secure new customers, and support state and local government agencies and educational institutions.
What you will do:
  • Achieve assigned quarterly sales quotas through accurate forecasting, pipeline development, and closing business
  • Develop and deliver a dynamic territory strategy driving customer expansion across WWAN, Private Cellular, and Neutral Host solutions
  • Leverage company sales tools to build an effective prospecting plan while maintaining visibility with existing customers
  • Conduct weekly pipeline reviews with the Sales Director and/or Area Vice President to drive profitable growth
  • Coordinate internal teams - support, service, and management - to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Proactively assess and validate customer needs, incorporating insights into territory strategy through regular cadence calls and technical updates
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings in alignment with company standards
  • Utilize the CRM system for all account management activities, from lead generation through the complete order cycle
  • Travel to and participate in trade shows, events, and channel and carrier networking sessions
  • Complete required training and compliance activities and adhere to all company policies

The skills you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of full-time technical and/or carrier sales experience in the public sector (state, local government, and education)
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success in the public sector, evidenced by a strong customer portfolio
  • Experience with public sector procurement vehicles including NASPO, GSA, and other purchasing contracts
  • Strong knowledge of WWAN and telecommunications; experience in private cellular networks and neutral host solutions preferred
  • Recent, documented experience managing SLED accounts including state agencies, cities, counties, K-12 schools, and higher education institutions
  • Self-motivated with strong integrity, accountability, and a consistent record of achievement
  • Expertise in implementing and driving channel sales models
  • Strong business acumen, entrepreneurial mindset, and excellent collaboration skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Sound problem-solving ability and capacity to deliver a compelling value proposition to customers and partners
  • Current residency within Ohio required

The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Variable Compensation Plan:This role includes the opportunity for sales commissions as a part of the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Variable Compensation Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance against sales targets and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules may apply.
