Regional Sales Director – Electric Utilities
Florida, Georgia, North Carolina | Home-based with regular travel
Do you thrive on opening new doors and winning new business in the US Utility market?
The Role
CrescoNet is expanding its US GridWide One sales team. GridWide One is our managed AMI service for electric utilities, built on our GridWide service that already supports 3 million meters in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
To drive that expansion, we’re looking for an experienced Regional Sales Director who has personally created and closed complex utility opportunities – a dealmaker who can explain exactly what part they played and how they achieved their success. You will build your own territory plan, create opportunities, and lead each sale from the first conversation through business case, to contract and first revenue.
Competitive, hunter-focused OTE, split 50/50 base/on-target commission, with an uncapped plan: the more qualifying business you win, the more you earn.
Your Experience
Direct AMI experience would be useful, but it is not essential - what you DO need is:
• Recent success with software or managed services sales direct to US electric utilities;
• Proof that you personally created and closed complex, new-logo business; supporting an RFP, inheriting an account or managing renewals is not enough;
• Current senior utility relationships in-territory and the ability to secure credible first conversations;
• Ability to talk comfortably about metering fleet cost, capital, rate recovery, operating performance and risk, as well as the technology; and
• Willingness to get hands-on: you will build much of your own pipeline, shape the offer and keep the forecast honest.
Relevant backgrounds:
• AMI, HES/MDMS, communications or utility IoT providers;
• OMS/ADMS/DERMS, grid analytics, asset/work management and grid cybersecurity; or
• CIS, billing, customer platforms or another utility-specific SaaS or managed service solutions.
If this sounds like you, send your resume and a short note describing one new utility account that you personally opened and won. Tell us how you created the opportunity, what part you played and what the customer ultimately bought.
We’re keen to hear from you. Contact us now by sending your resume
