Regional Sales Manager, Commercial & Industrial (C&I) – South Central RegionThe Opportunity

As a Regional Sales Manager within Hitachi Energy’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) business, you will help shape how customers across the South Central Region adopt power technologies and solutions that support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. In this role, you will manage a network of Manufacturer’s Representatives, guiding their strategies, performance, and customer engagement activities. You will work with rep organizations to grow new and existing business, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen the regional market position. Your work directly influences how C&I customers experience Hitachi Energy’s systems, products, and services—impacting reliability, quality, and long‑term customer value.

You will collaborate closely with rep principals, internal teams, product management, and leadership to align customer needs with our commercial offerings. Through market studies, pipeline development, and sales strategy discussions, you will deepen your understanding of the C&I segment and help position the business for sustainable growth. This role offers a chance to apply and expand your technical selling aptitude while helping customers solve complex challenges across the evolving energy landscape.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Steer sales strategy discussions for your region and align on short‑ and long‑term growth targets.
  • Manage and grow sales through proactive leadership of Manufacturer’s Representative organizations.
  • Set clear performance expectations, territory approaches, and sales targets with each rep firm.
  • Run regular business, pipeline, and forecast reviews to strengthen opportunity quality and conversion.
  • Coach rep partners to improve account penetration and advance high‑value opportunities.
  • Drive pipeline‑building activities, including prospecting steps, account planning, and prioritization.
  • Coordinate deal approvals, contract pursuits, and complex sales activities.
  • Share voice‑of‑customer insights and market feedback with product management and leadership.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a technical field; an advanced degree is desirable. Equitable experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, including experience working with sales/manufacturer’s representatives.
  • Technical selling aptitude and account management experience.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com.
  • Solid communication skills, able to engage rep firm leaders and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Capabilities in negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management.
  • Highly organized with sound follow‑up, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
  • (Preferred) Background in managing manufacturer’s rep performance against KPIs and ensuring the right rep network coverage.
  • (Preferred) Experience with sales accounts or regional responsibility of $10M USD or more.
  • (Preferred) Understanding of Hitachi Energy’s C&I products and services.
  • Location may be flexible. However, you must be based within the Region. The South Central region covers: Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
