Switchcraft, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of harsh environment circular connectors, cable assemblies and interconnect solutions. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, industrial controls, transportation and homeland security.
We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager for West Coast. The RSM drives sales, manages sales representatives in territory, and managers customer relationships in territory, including both OEM’s and distributors.
Location: Jefferson Park, Chicago, IL
On Site: M- F 7:30 -4p
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 plus bonus
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual sales goals, including new design wins, by working directly with customers and through sales representatives and distributors.
- Train and motivate representative’s Sales Staff and Territory Sales Managers.
- Review the representative network for the territory and drive changes as needed.
- Attend relevant trade shows/industry events.
- Manage relationships for corporate distribution accounts located within the territory.
- Provide feedback on industry competitor activity.
- Develop and execute the sales plan, including forecasting and budgeting revenues.
- Provide new product ideas.
- Expected to travel visiting various territories approximately 25-35% of the time.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to convey the features and benefits of product lines.
- Listen to customer feedback and needs.
- Offer solutions to solve customer problems/concerns.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in a technical field)
- 5+ years’ experience in a technical Sales Role (Preferably with Electronic Components)
