Your Role

As Gensler’s Regional Strategic Talent Acquisition Manager, you are committed to providing the highest quality of applicant experience for each targeted prospective candidate. Your prior experience of recruiting within the architectural/design or architectural/engineering industry will be of great value.   This position is a valuable leader on our dynamic HR team.  We are a highly collaborative team and we are passionate about what we do to support our professional teams and colleagues as HR & talent acquisitions experts who are true business partners in navigating through the challenges of targeted talent acquisition.

At Gensler, we are committed to providing a “white glove” experience for our candidates and colleagues while sourcing and attracting the most desirable candidates within our industry.  This position is seated in our North Central Region (NCR) and will support our Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, La Crosse and Columbus offices.  The ability to travel to each office on a periodic schedule is an option. 

What You Will Do

  • Partner with our Regional Senior Leadership and HR team to define and lead talent acquisition strategy for NCR
  • Lead the full life-cycle recruitment process, from research and sourcing through offer and acceptance, with both active and passive candidates ranging from emerging talent through executive leadership levels
  • Conduct direct searches and build a strong network of senior level talent pool
  • Manage search firm contracts to align with Firmwide and strengthen the partnership for critical hires and our external branding
  • Conduct local talent mapping, industry talent trends, targeted selection to support critical or strategic hiring needs for any practice area; seek new ways to attract passive candidates
  • Partner with HR Director & Marketing/PR to drive our employer value proposition across each market
  • Mentor and develop Talent Acquisition team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and professional growth
  • Lead by example in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive talent sourcing within the team
  • Standardize recruitment processes and approaches across the region for internal efficiency while creating the best candidate experience
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment policies and procedures, obtaining necessary approvals and utilizing internal talent whenever possible
  • Lead or oversee talent acquisition related projects and initiatives
  • Participate and integrate into the firm’s Talent Acquisition community
  • Track and monitor recruitment metrics to measure success of hiring, source of hiring etc.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development Manager to co-create and co-facilitate TA related learning activities
  • Advise on competitive research and market trends while offering strategic solutions for recruitment during changing business trend
  • Benchmark our talent acquisition practices against industry competitors to identify areas for improvement and innovation
  • Lead a collaborative team in developing a pipeline of targeted prospects for Gensler by engaging in relationships with candidates as a trusted advisor
  • Communicate regularly with Regional Managing Principals, Office Directors, and Hiring Managers in a clear and succinct manner
  • Oversight and accountability for the data management of the applicant process
  • Represent Gensler as a Brand Ambassador through both internal and external relationships

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in agency and/or corporate talent acquisition
  • Experience recruiting for a creative firm (architecture, interior design, branding agency, etc.) or professional services and/or consulting industry
  • Expertise with the executive search process as well as high volume staffing
  • Professional services business manner with the demonstrated ability to organize and execute time management priorities
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced interview and selection skills
  • Experience in market mapping and talent searches.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience using an ATS, Workday preferred
  • Team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices, particularly relating to candidate experience & employer brand
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle deadlines and frequent interruptions
  • Familiar with EEO reporting and auditing
  • Familiar with Visas and the PERM process a plus
  • Proficient in the use of current and trend setting technology
