Position Overview

As a Web Editor Intern, you will be responsible for editing, updating, and managing website content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency. This role is ideal for students majoring in journalism, communications, digital media, web design, or related fields who are eager to build real-world experience. This unpaid internship is eligible for college credit and designed to enhance your skills in content editing, SEO, web development and publishing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and edit website content for grammar, style, and clarity.

  • Ensure web pages are visually appealing and user-friendly.

  • Update and format job listings and resource pages.

  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility.

  • Work collaboratively with the marketing and content lead to maintain brand voice and consistency.

  • Test website functionality and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Assist with the integration of multimedia elements such as images, videos, and hyperlinks.

Who You Are

  • A current college student or senior high school student majoring in journalism, communications, digital media, web design, or a related field.

  • Passionate about digital content, web development, and editorial excellence.

  • A strong writer and editor with keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Git, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or content management systems (preferred but not required).

  • Familiar with SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.

  • Comfortability with Canva and Carrd.co a Plus.

  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.

  • Excited about gaining hands-on experience in a professional setting.
