The Job/What You'll Do:

As a Sales Consultant Specialist at AssetMark, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team as they build and nurture new client relationships. You will facilitate opportunities to increase productivity by managing essential administrative tasks and effectively utilizing various sales software tools. 

The total compensation for this role includes base plus a competitive sales incentive plan target as detailed below.

 

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $45,000-$65,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.

 

Additionally, this position is eligible for an annualized Sales Incentive Plan target of up to $30,000.  The achievement of the Sales Incentive Plan target will be based on performance to clearly stated goals and metrics.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office locations in either Chicago or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary sales point of contact for escalated service-related issues as well as a backup resource when sales team members are unavailable   
  • Help advisors understand and be able to explain platform fees and costs, as well as overcome objections they may raise 
  • Enhance the consultative process for the wealth management platform and service offering by driving scale and capacity for the sales team to ensure that clients needs are met  
  • Proactively communicate with advisors and ask insightful questions to identify additional needs and highlight expanded partnership opportunities  
  • Host regularly scheduled Webinars to train advisors on the AssetMark platform and offerings  
  • Manage the team’s meeting schedule and proactively encourage attendance to territory meetings 
  • Keep up to date with relevant investment information, including platform updates, marketing materials, operational changes, industry news, and market events 
  • Build relationships with advisors and deliver strong presentations through effective phone and written communication 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong time management and organizational skills  
  • Ability to foster a cohesive and supportive team environment  
  • Ability to adapt quickly and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently 
  • Proven experience utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM tools to effectively manage territory and pipeline  
  • Experience evaluating managed money platforms  
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance field 
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry 
  • Active FINRA Licenses: Series 6, 63 and 65 and/or 7 and 66 are required
