About the Team:
The Retail Sales team will implement a comprehensive refresh of the in-store experience for both customers and consumers. 8000 retailers across Illinois will receive transformational sales support reinforced by better products and better media advertising resulting in a transformation of sales performance and overall brand image.
Position Overview:
Within Camelot Illinois, The Retail Sales Data Analyst will be responsible for the flow of data to aid decision making and changes within the Retail Sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides category/brand sales analysis and macro trends for the commercial and retail teams.
- Delivers core commercial and business reporting along with KPI dashboards.
- Provides data and analysis to aid campaign measurement and inform decisions on how to make improvements.
- Responsible for providing competitor information for the retail channel and commercial team.
- Analyze the use of CRM data captured at visits measuring compliance for marketing campaigns and sales initiatives.
- Calculate ROI of initiatives for channels and key accounts.
- Take ownership of weekly periodical performance dashboards to senior members of the sales department.
- Responsible for master data that powers segmentation and maintaining visit frequency to retailers.
- Spot trends analyzing relevant data to help shape strategy.
- Work with lottery insight team to drive sales information to create the key facts which reinforces the retailer story.
- Maintain and refresh geo-mapping studies to support prospecting.
- Evaluate campaign performance to measure the effectiveness of activity and recommend future actions as a result of analysis.
- Work with Key Account Director to develop tools and solutions that allow commercial teams to access direct channel sales information.
- Deliver regular presentations to Sales teams.
- Provide business reporting in line with license requirements.
- Work with colleagues to support the activities of the team, suggesting ideas and contributing to continuous improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors degree.
- 2 or more years of experience in a data analyst role within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Retail environment.
- Sharp analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyze complex customer data in an efficient way to drive insight for the Retai Sales team..
- Experience in developing business reporting and KPI dashboards for a full picture of channel performance.
- Proficient with SQL, Excel, and Tableau or similar dashboarding.
- Extracting data from data warehouse to create daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Flexible and able to pivot quickly when priorities change.
- Strong problem solving and analytical, and research skills. Displays strong subjective judgment in proactively escalating issues, risks, and decisions.
Preferred:
- Presentation and communication skills.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance environments.
- Project management skills.
- Knowledge of the retail environment.
- Strong communicator that is able to effectively deliver messaging.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite tools for analysis and presentations.
