Summit is seeking a Revenue Operations Specialist who is laser-focused on improving team effectiveness to help scale our sales organization. You will work to build process enhancements and scalable solutions that support complex deals and deliver value for our customers.
Our ideal candidate will enable and empower our Rev Ops team to succeed through improved strategy, process, analytics, and tools, and act as a key cross-functional liaison between Revenue Operations, Sales, and other departments and be located in the Greater Chicago area.
Do:
- Design and implement consistent and repeatable Deal Desk processes
- Oversee the complete “Lead to Order” process in the CRM among all team members.
- Facilitate complete vetting and approval of complex deals by stakeholders across the organization (e.g., software developers, project managers, technical resources, finance).
- Accurately represents deals in the CRM for fulfillment + billing
- Ensure consistent, high-quality use of CRM by all users.
- Distill themes from customer data into actionable insights to improve internal operations and customer experience
- Work closely with Marketing to track campaign engagement and effectiveness
- Assist in the design of a customer onboarding process that transitions from sales to delivery to customer success with best practice experience
- Inform and assist the Enablement efforts in the Revenue Operations team, such as the Revenue team’s knowledge libraries, curriculums, and internal wiki
- Establish and manage key metrics and performance indicators for quoting, order processing and customer success team
- Create, maintain, and expand the documentation used for onboarding, training, and other enablement/learning efforts
- Ad-hoc projects as needed, both within existing tools and creatively building a process where tools are not available
Deliver:
- Roll out operational changes and new systems to our customer-facing teams
- Work cross-functionally with customer success, sales, operations, finance, product, marketing, and other stakeholders to share insights and centralize information
- Be a customer advocate and partner to all internal organizations involved in the deal process
- Drive best practices to increase sales effectiveness via structured deal reviews and checkpoints, supported by standard business practices, policies, and proper enablement
- Provide leadership and guidance to deliver consistently high-quality output from the Revenue Operations team
- Support our data hygiene in areas including renewals, subscriptions, and customer health in coordination with finance, sales, delivery, and other internal teams
- Identify ways of streamlining and automating processes to compile and analyze data from various sources and systems
Decide:
- Partner with VP, Revenue to strategize, and analyze the impact of business initiatives
- Invest in the continuous development and growth of the Revenue Operations team
- Be a customer advocate and partner to all internal organizations involved in the deal process
- Implement and manage approvals for non-standard deals and effective collaboration across Sales, Finance, and Legal
- Exhibit a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed expectations

- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 3-4 years of sales operations or revenue operations experience, alternatively experience in process and data driven roles and understanding of sales organizations
- Experienced with contracts, legal clauses, approvals, and other deal desk deliverables
- Experience learning, managing, and customizing a CRM system, and training others on its use.
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver impactful reports and presentations
- Strong understanding of quote-to-order processes; knowledge of SFDC and NetSuite is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to deadlines
- Project management skills, ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Willing to take on new challenges, duties, and objectives
- Desire to learn, grow and quickly step into new challenges as they arise

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $57,000 – $78,000 annually, depending on your skills, experience, and location. We aim to make offers that feel fair, forward-looking, and reflective of what you bring to the table — and where you want to grow.
