About the Role

Contrarian Thinking is looking for a hands-on, data-driven Revenue Operations Manager to build the systems, processes, and reporting foundation that powers our sales and marketing growth.

This is a true builder role — we need someone who enjoys being in the weeds, setting up infrastructure, tightening processes, and creating clarity through data. As the company scales, there is potential for this role to grow into a Director-level position, but the priority today is finding a strong operator who can execute with precision.

You will own the full revenue operations stack across:

  • Lead flow
  • Funnel tracking
  • Attribution
  • Reporting
  • Forecasting
  • End-to-end sales process
  • CRM hygiene
  • Marketing → Sales → Success handoff

You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Success, and Leadership to ensure our data is reliable, our systems are tight, and our decisions are grounded in what the numbers tell us.

What You’ll DoBuild & Own the Revenue Operations Engine
  • Stand up and optimize our end-to-end RevOps infrastructure in HubSpot / needed spreadsheets (CRM, automations, workflows, reporting).
  • Create clear reporting and dashboards that give visibility into the entire funnel, including conversion rates, pipeline health, lead sources, CAC, LTV, and revenue performance.
  • Maintain data integrity and define data governance principles.
Enable Accurate, Predictable Growth
  • Implement lead routing, scoring, lifecycle stages, and segmentation.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and pipeline quality.
  • Identify bottlenecks and friction points across the customer journey.
Turn Data Into Decisions
  • Analyze trends and performance to uncover insights and opportunities.
  • Translate data into recommendations that shape sales and marketing priorities.
  • Enable leadership to make faster, more informed decisions.
Optimize Systems & Processes
  • Own CRM architecture, pipeline structure, automation logic, and documentation.
  • Establish repeatable processes for lead management, sales activities, and follow-up.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs between Marketing → Sales → Customer Success.
What You Bring
  • 3–6+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, or similar roles.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with HubSpot (CRM configuration, workflows, automation, reporting, and integrations).
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills; comfortable building dashboards and translating insights into action.
  • Experience optimizing revenue processes, pipeline stages, attribution, and forecasting.
  • Comfortable being a doer — building systems, fixing gaps, and implementing process improvements yourself.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, digital-first environment.
  • Bonus: experience in community-driven, education, SaaS, or media businesses.
What Success Looks Like
  • Clean, accurate, reliable data in HubSpot.
  • Dashboards that give real visibility into performance across sales and marketing.
  • Improved conversion rates across the funnel due to tighter process and automation.
  • Predictable, accurate forecasting.
  • A scalable revenue operations foundation the company can grow on — and the potential to take on greater responsibility as the RevOps function expands.
Why This Role Matters

This hire will create the operational backbone that supports the growth of Academy, Boardroom, and future revenue streams. Your work will directly determine our speed, clarity, and ability to scale.

The Contrarian Creed

These are the words we stand by, live by and define what it means to be a Contrarian.

  1. People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.

  2. Be a great f*cking human. Do what’s right even when it hurts.

  3. How you do anything, is how you do everything.

  4. We do the dirty work.

  5. Your word is your contract.

  6. We are Archimedes, find your lever.

  7. Winners want pressure.

  8. We want your weird. Better weird than boring.

  9. Your job isn’t done until THE job is done. We work the problem.

  10. Assumptions are for assholes. Find the truth.

  11. Less words, more meaning.

  12. Even our notes are worth stealing. Make every creation a mini-masterpiece.

  13. Show me your results, not your intentions.
