YOU MUST BE

Experienced
You have at least 2 years of history of selling creative, integrated campaigns including branded content, media, experiential and influencer partnerships. You’ve hit ambitious goals before and you’re excited to do it again.

Self-motivated
You’re comfortable charting your own course, creating opportunities and solving problems without someone looking over your shoulder. You like closing deals. You know what it takes to grow a book of business and you go after it.

Connected
You bring meaningful relationships with local businesses, agencies, venues, festivals, hospitality groups and brands with a presence in Chicago. You understand how things happen here.

A Team Player
You partner well with the people bringing campaigns to life including editorial, partnerships, marketing and production teams.

An Excellent Communicator
You can write a clean deck, lead a pitch, explain our value and build trust quickly.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and manage relationships with venues, event organizers, regional brands, and local businesses to help them drive awareness, sell tickets, and grow their events.

    • Prospect and build targeted lead lists across each business category.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets through a mix of new business development and account growth.

    • Prospect and secure new business, hitting assigned quarterly new business quotas.
    • Hit monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Sell integrated campaigns that help partners meaningfully reach various audiences in Chicago.
  • Develop custom partnership ideas based on a partner’s goals and Do312’s editorial and community strengths.
  • Create proposals, present concepts, negotiate contracts and manage campaigns.
  • Curate and manage ticketing partnerships to fuel DoMORE, our event subscription program, by securing ticket allocations and optimizing inventory.
  • Build strong, long lasting client relationships rooted in trust, communication and real value.
  • Stay plugged into the cultural rhythm of Chicago so you can spot smart opportunities for partners.
  • Actively engage in the local community by attending and networking at relevant community events, while also professionally representing Do312 at our own event activations to build relationships, brand awareness, and sales opportunities.
  • Represent Do312 with warmth, curiosity and a love for the city.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Build and maintain at least a $750,000 book of business in year 1.
  • Ability to satisfy DoMORE inventory requirements so that our 12,000+ membership base receives high-quality tickets.
  • A growing pipeline filled with thoughtful, strategic outreach.
  • Partners who enjoy working with you and expand their investment over time.
  • Creative campaigns that feel aligned with Chicago’s culture and the Do312 audience.
  • Strong presentation skills, clean communication and consistent follow-through.
  • Demonstrate success by adopting efficient tools and workflows—including AI-driven solutions—to streamline processes, maximize productivity, and consistently deliver high-impact sales results.
  • Regularly hitting or exceeding sales targets.

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience selling to venues, festivals, restaurants, nightlife groups or lifestyle brands.
  • Understanding of the Chicago cultural landscape from Pilsen to Wicker Park to Uptown and beyond.
  • Familiarity with building decks and proposals.
  • Comfort using a CRM (Hubspot) to manage pipeline and communication.
  • Curiosity about local culture, live events and the people who make this city fun.
