Role Mission

Are you passionate about business development and eager to join a global company transforming the industry with cutting‑edge technology? ABB is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Motion division in Brazil. If you have experience in sales and business development within the renewable energy sector — especially in utility‑scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), green hydrogen, and wind service solutions — and are ready to take on strategic challenges, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in Brazil’s renewable energy landscape.

  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies aligned with ABB’s global positioning.

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in solar PV, BESS, green hydrogen, and wind turbine service markets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, developers, IPPs, O&M partners, OEMs, and utilities.

  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Represent Brazil in interactions with global business lines and provide continuous insights to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Extensive experience in sales or business development.

  • Experience working in the renewable energy sector with EPCs, utilities, and IPPs in Brazil.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and grid codes.
