Sales Compensation Analyst

About the Role

Our company is searching for an experienced candidate to be part of the Finance team for the position of a sales compensation analyst.  This role will be responsible for sales compensation administration, analysis, and reporting.  Requires a candidate that has strong technical analytic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly calculation and accurate payment for the sales team
  • Ensure plan calculations are precise, communicated properly, and completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain internal documentation and assist in development and implementation of commission plans
  • Track and report on sales organization performance and analyze trends
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews of compensation data to maintain data and commission integrity
  • Support sales team members by responding to inquiries, investigating data and other potential issues that may arise
  • Ensure sales compensation practices adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Perform research and analysis to identify and resolve compensation discrepancies
  • Review commission payment reports for completeness and accuracy to commission plans as outlined in the plan while resolving reconciliation issues
  • Collaborate with sales operations and key partners to address and resolve compensation issues
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance sales compensation processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to design and refine sales compensation plans that align with business goals and drive desired behaviors
  • Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc sales compensation reports and dashboards to provide insights to sales leadership

Qualifications

  • Preferred degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1+ years of equivalent experience in commission and sales reporting
  • Background in sales compensation design and experience in using a commission tool system, preferably Captivate IQ
  • Knowledge of Microsoft excel with the ability to create spreadsheets, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Excellent organization and communication skills to be able to interact various levels of employees with a strong customer service ethic
  • Ability to adapt to organizational changes of the sales team

For Illinois residents - the base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $60,000 - $70,000 annually. Your salary will be determined by various factors, including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business needs.
