As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at YouGov, you’ll be the first point of contact with potential customers, playing a key role in generating new business opportunities across the US market. You’ll focus on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads to help drive our sales pipeline. Working closely with our Sales team, you’ll ensure smooth handoffs and contribute to the company’s overall growth goals.

What You’ll Do (the Essentials)

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and social media to identify and engage potential customers.
  • Qualify inbound leads and determine their readiness to move through the sales process.
  • Research target accounts and industries to develop tailored and creative outreach strategies.
  • Use YouGov data and insights to tell compelling stories that resonate with prospects.
  • Set appointments for our sales team, ensuring seamless handoffs for continued engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce to track outreach efforts, lead status, and sales activity.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and share feedback to strengthen lead generation efforts.

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles (entry-level candidates with relevant internships also considered).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects clearly and confidently.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills—you can balance high activity while staying detail-oriented.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to design outreach that stands out.
  • Comfort using data and insights for persuasive storytelling.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with eagerness to grow in a sales career.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

For roles based in California, New York, Colorado, Massachusetts, or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $58,655-70,304

Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits.
