Sales Development Representative

Sales  ·  Full-Time  ·  Fully Remote  ·  Chicago

The Role

Join Postie’s sales team as a Sales Development Representative and make an immediate impact on our growing team and on your career. Postie is giving marketers an alternative to Meta by changing the way Direct Mail is discovered and experienced. We’ve made Direct Mail measurable, quantifiable, and attributable in real time through the Postie platform, so it behaves like an innovative digital channel.

Our foundations are in quant-based marketing, and we’re looking for motivated, intelligent, and creative people to break into new business and support event-based marketing initiatives. You’re data-driven, laser-focused on researching key personas to determine the ideal talk track, and comfortable communicating over the phone and face-to-face. You’ll take a hands-on role identifying and contacting senior decision makers within our ICP — via email, phone, LinkedIn, and our Surprise & Delight program — to drive meaningful meetings for our sales associates and attendance at in-person events and online webinars.

At a glance

Build pipeline through multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, direct mail)  ·  Run the Surprise & Delight program  ·  Become a Postie product expert  ·  Drive attendance and support events & webinars.

What You’ll Own

1.  Prospecting & Pipeline Generation

Own the top of Postie’s funnel — finding the right accounts, reaching the right people, and booking meetings that turn into pipeline.

  • Target research. Research and develop new target prospect lists, mapping the key decision makers within each organization in our ICP.
  • Multi-channel outreach. Execute an over-the-phone and direct-mail-based cold outreach strategy — reaching senior decision makers across phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Meeting generation. Schedule qualified meetings with new prospects for our sales associates.

2.  Surprise & Delight Program

Run the program that makes Postie memorable to the prospects and customers who matter most.

  • Program execution. Manage and execute all activities associated with our Surprise & Delight program, end to end.
  • Creative outreach. Use Surprise & Delight as a differentiated way to break into target accounts and earn meetings with hard-to-reach decision makers.

3.  Product Expertise & Messaging

Become the person who can tell the Postie story clearly and compellingly to anyone.

  • Product mastery. Develop an expert understanding of Postie’s software, benefits, and market differentiators.
  • Cross-team collaboration. Engage with the Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to develop effective communication strategies.
  • Content creation. Develop content that promotes Postie’s market-leading capabilities and technology.

4.  Events & Webinars

Help fill the room — online and in person — and keep the experience running smoothly.

  • Drive attendance. Own the activities that drive prospect attendance to in-person events and online webinars.
  • Event logistics. Support the logistics that keep events and webinars running smoothly.

What Success Looks Like

  • A steady flow of well-researched target accounts, with decision makers mapped and prioritized.
  • Consistent, multi-channel outreach that books qualified meetings and builds real pipeline for the sales team.
  • The Surprise & Delight program running end to end and opening doors at target accounts.
  • Fluency in Postie’s platform and story — you can articulate our differentiators to any prospect.
  • Strong event and webinar attendance driven by your outreach.

What You Bring

  • Proven business acumen and an understanding of sales development.
  • Effective communication skills and confidence over the phone and face-to-face.
  • A high aptitude for learning new skills and technologies quickly.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Extremely self-motivated and goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a work-from-home environment.
  • Experience with a CRM (Salesforce or similar); familiarity with Outreach, or similar sales engagement software preferred.
