Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking a dynamic Sales Director to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role supports the growth and development of PALIG's distribution network by working closely with large distribution organizations, Managing General Agencies (MGAs), and agency partners across our U.S. Life, U.S. Accident & Health, and Private Client Life businesses. Collaborating with Distribution Leadership and Regional Vice Presidents, the Sales Director will help identify, recruit, onboard, and support agency partners while strengthening existing distribution relationships and uncovering opportunities for additional sales growth. The ideal candidate brings insurance distribution experience, strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to supporting agency success and expanding market reach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sales Growth Through Distribution Partnerships:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with large distribution groups and MGAs
  • Maintain and manage Pan American Life Insurance Company (PALIC) visibility within large
  • distributors through regular communications with contacts at large distributors, participation in
  • training meetings and attendance at in-person meetings
  • Work with contacts at large distributors to identify and obtain warm introductions to
  • MGA/Agency/Affiliate partners
  • Prospect and Profile prospective targets to determine fit and prioritize opportunities
  • Work with RVPs to recruit, onboard and provide initial training to qualified MGAs

Liaison within PALIG for Large Distribution Management:

  • Work with US Accident and Health and Private Client Life to identify and refer qualified
  • distributors and cross-selling opportunities
  • Understand and articulate the PALIG Large Distribution Value Proposition, as well as those of
  • Private Client Life and US Accident and Health
  • Propose and contribute to the development of products, concepts, marketing materials and
  • content for all stakeholders in the large distribution strategy
  • Solicit and provide feedback to stakeholders in large distribution strategy

Sales Training & Sales Concept Development:

  • Work with PALIC US Life Sales Team to identify new sales concepts for PALIC Life products
  • Coordinate with RVPs and Marketing Communications to prioritize concepts and assist in
  • development of sales concept training materials
  • Deliver new concept training materials to the sales team, assist in training on new concept
  • materials and coordinate training with large distribution groups and MGA

KEY REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 plus years of insurance industry experience with demonstrated knowledge of life insurance products and marketing concepts. An additional 4 years’ relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving production through independent distributors
  • Strong working knowledge of participating whole life and indexed universal life products
  • Computer and illustration software proficiency
  • Well-developed communication and platform presentation skills.
  • Willing and able to travel when necessary
  • Solid time management and follow-up skills
  • Abiltiy to quickly learn and efficiently utilize software packages
  • Proficiency in the Spanish language preferred, but not required

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package (base salary & incentive compensation) This role has a base salary range of $67,200 to $95,900, dependent on experience, and a potential annual bonus incentive target ranging from $0 to $14,000 (paid on a quarterly basis.)
  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition reimbursement
  • Medical and dental coverage effective the first of the month following 30 days of service
