Position Overview:
The Overwatch Sales Director for Data Center Professional Services and Construction is a key position within the company's revenue growth strategy. This role is responsible for managing strategic client relationships in the data center industry, with a focus on offering professional services and construction solutions. The Overwatch Sales Director must possess a deep understanding of data center operations, construction practices, and project management to effectively address the unique needs of data center operators and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the data center industry, including data center operators, technology companies, and real estate developers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and communication throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the data center professional services and construction sectors.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted strategies and marketing campaigns to attract potential clients and expand market share.
Strategic Account Planning:
- Develop comprehensive account plans for key clients, outlining growth objectives, project pipelines, and strategies to secure new projects and professional service contracts.
- Work closely with internal teams, including architects, engineers, project managers, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Industry and Market Analysis:
- Stay updated with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in data center operations, construction, and professional services.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify areas for expansion and potential areas of differentiation.
Project Proposal and Negotiation:
- Collaborate with technical teams to create compelling project proposals that highlight the company's expertise and capabilities in delivering data center professional services and construction solutions.
- Participate in contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
- Customer Support and Issue Resolution: Address client concerns or issues promptly and professionally, working with internal teams to resolve any challenges that may arise during project execution.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic accounts and assess project performance against established objectives.
- Provide regular reports to management, offering insights into account performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (an MBA may be advantageous).
- Proven experience in strategic account management within the data center industry, specifically focusing on professional services and construction solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of data center operations, construction processes, and project management.
- Strong networking, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Willingness to travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and oversee construction projects.
