The Role
This is a foundational, high-impact role on a new team. We are looking for a "builder" who is passionate about creating a world-class learning environment.
You will be responsible for building our sales enablement program from the ground up. Your mission is to decrease new hire ramp time and increase the overall productivity of the sales team. You will achieve this by designing, building, and managing our sales onboarding, creating a continuous education program, and working cross-functionally to ensure our reps have the content, skills, and process knowledge to win.
Responsibilities
- New Hire Onboarding:
- Design, build, and manage our 30-60-90 day sales onboarding program for all new sales hires.
- Develop certification programs to ensure reps are proficient in product knowledge (Core EHR, Plus Plan, Add-ons), our sales methodology, and our value proposition.
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding sessions, bringing in speakers from Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Continuous Education & Coaching:
- Develop and lead a continuous learning program (e.g., weekly skill drills, monthly product updates) for new and tenured reps.
- Create and run training focused on all stages of the sales cycle: prospecting, ICP definition, discovery, value-based presentations, negotiation, and closing.
- Partner with sales leadership to identify skill gaps (using tools like Gong) and develop targeted coaching plans.
- Content & Playbook Management:
- Act as the "quarterback" for sales content. You will create and maintain a central library of sales assets, including call scripts, email templates, proposal decks, and objection-handling guides.
- Translate complex product features (like our AI Note Taker, ePrescribe, and Managed Billing solutions) into clear, teachable value propositions for our reps.
- Build and maintain the "SimplePractice Sales Playbook" as the single source of truth for our sales process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as the key liaison between the Sales team and Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Funnel product updates and new marketing campaigns to the sales team through structured training.
- Funnel "voice of the prospect" feedback from the sales team back to Product and Marketing to influence the roadmap and new collateral.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in Sales Enablement, Sales Management, or a related role (e.g., Product Marketing, Sales Operations) within a B2B SaaS company.
- A "Builder" Mentality: You must have proven experience building sales onboarding and training programs from scratch.
- Sales Methodology Expert: Deep knowledge of formal sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN, Value Selling) and the ability to train them.
- Exceptional Facilitator: You are an engaging and confident presenter who is comfortable leading training sessions for groups of all sizes, both in-person and virtually.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience with a modern sales tech stack (e.g., HubSpot, Gong, Seismic/ etc).
- Cross-Functional Leader: You have a proven ability to work with and influence stakeholders across departments.
- Bonus: Experience in the HealthTech, EHR, or Practice Management space is a significant plus.
