As a Sales Engineer- Named, you’ll be the technical heart of the sales and post-sale expansion process - part product expert, part strategist, part storyteller. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Client Sales and Customer Success Managers who manage our largest clients. The Named Account teams work with financial institutions who are 20B+ AUM to identify opportunities, guide technical evaluations, and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to real-world banking needs.

We’re looking for a dynamic, curious, and highly technical communicator who’s passionate about digital transformation in financial services. If you thrive at the intersection of technology, strategy, and client-facing collaboration - this is your role.  Outstanding Solutions Engineers should have a keen eye for spotting market trends, a willingness to inspire clients, creativity for selling beyond the demo, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

How you'll contribute: 
  • Be the go-to product and technical expert for your solution area, continually expanding your expertise on both product functionality and industry use cases.
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to identify opportunities, qualify technical fit, and lead evaluations from discovery through demo and solution design.
  • Deliver exceptional product demonstrations that resonate with stakeholders - from frontline operators to C-level execs - adapting narratives based on their unique goals and challenges.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions, including specs, integration needs, architectural diagrams, and implementation paths.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, product marketing, and business development to feed customer insights back into product strategy and GTM motions.
  • Keep a pulse on customer feedback, market trends, and usage patterns - and communicate them internally to shape roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
  • Build and maintain documentation, including presentation content, workflow and architecture diagrams, and recorded assets to scale enablement efforts.
  • Elevate the quality of internal demo environments, tools, and delivery methods to continuously improve customer engagement.
Who you are: 

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of SaaS platforms, APIs, and integration workflows.
  • Ideal candidates are current Sales Engineers and have experience with selling loan origination software, digital account opening, digital lending, mortgage focused solutions
  • Proficiency with tools like SQL, JSON, Postman, and Apache Velocity.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and web-based application architecture.

Sales & Communication Skills

  • Exceptional communicator - able to simplify the complex, inspire confidence, and tell a compelling story to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record delivering high-impact product demos and solution presentations.
  • Ability to tailor content and conversations to different personas (from operations to the C-suite).

Execution & Collaboration

  • Results-driven, with a proactive and resourceful mindset.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple deals and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and wearing multiple hats in a fast-moving environment.
  • Able to travel up to 30 - 40% annually.

To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final base pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Beyond base pay, Blends benefits and perks are described below.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary Range: $121,000 and $143,000 (OTE includes base + variable with a 70/30 split. This applies to full time hires. Final offer determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience.)
  • Equity : Meaningful Restricted Stock Units in public company stock (NYSE: BLND) so you share in Blend’s long-term growth and success.
