Shift5 is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive revenue growth by providing technical expertise and tailored solutions to US Air Force and Space Force customers. You will be the technical lead in the sales process, collaborating with account executives and customers to showcase Shift5’s solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions using Shift5’s platform.
  • Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations, and demos to highlight the capabilities of Shift5’s solutions.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to customers, addressing their technical concerns and guiding them through the adoption process.
  • Solution Design: Work with customers to map their needs to Shift5’s platform, including integration with existing cybersecurity and operational technology systems.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in crafting technical proposals, RFx responses, and solution briefs that align with customer needs.
  • Technical Liaison: Bridge the gap between customers and internal teams, providing feedback to engineering and product management to refine Shift5’s offerings.
  • Training & Enablement: Educate customers and partners on Shift5’s technology through workshops, webinars, and training sessions.

Qualifications: 

  • 7-10+ years in a Sales/Solutions Engineering role supporting USAF/USSF.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, maintenance, or OT within defense aviation/space preferred.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and embedded systems.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Excellent presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Preferred: 

  • Experience with threat detection, cybersecurity frameworks, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of OT protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553).
  • Linux experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $150,000-$180,000
