About the Role

WellTheory is entering its next phase of commercial growth, and we’re looking for a Sales Operations Lead to serve as the operational backbone of the team driving it.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role at the intersection of sales operations, revenue operations, systems ownership, and commercial execution. Your core mandate is simple: make our sellers more productive. You’ll own our Salesforce infrastructure and commercial tech stack, build the data foundation our team runs on, and relentlessly remove manual work from the sales team, using automation and AI to do it.

This is a rare chance to build the operational foundation of a commercial team from the ground up. The right person is equally comfortable in a spreadsheet, a Salesforce workflow, and a cross-functional planning meeting, and gets real satisfaction from turning chaos into infrastructure.

This role will report initially to our CEO, then to our Head of Commercial.

What You’ll Do
  • Optimize the sales stack. Own Salesforce and sales systems strategy with an external admin and internal stakeholders. Manage tool selection, workflow design, and adoption.

  • Automate the busywork. Use AI and workflow automation to keep Salesforce, activity tracking, and account records current without rep effort.

  • Build the data foundation. Maintain clean account and contact data, email and activity tracking, and the reporting sellers and leaders rely on.

  • Drive with data. Track and improve rep efficiency, lead follow-up speed, and process adherence. Build analytics and business cases for employers, health plans, and key accounts.

  • Improve how the team works. Improve workflows across process, contracting, legal coordination, and internal operations.

  • Enable the reps. Maintain the knowledge base, playbooks, process documentation, and onboarding.

  • Partner on planning. Work with Finance, the People Team, and the C-suite on quotas and compensation plans.

  • Step in where needed. For a period, this may include running conference and event logistics until we hire dedicated support.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

Have 7–12+ years in sales ops, revenue ops, or consulting, ideally in SaaS or digital health, and understand the full commercial motion from outbound through contracting. You also:

  • Connect work to revenue. You tie systems work to pipeline, bookings, and rep productivity.

  • Stay curious. You teach yourself new tools, including AI, and bring fresh ideas.

  • Automate by default. You've removed manual work, not just documented it.

  • Are data literate. You pull, clean, and interpret data, then turn it into action.

  • Build. You find problems, arrive with a plan, and measure impact by what's running.

  • Own Salesforce. You define requirements, drive improvements, and partner well with admins.

  • Work cross-functionally. You build trust with sellers, commercial leaders, legal, and finance.

This Role Might Not Be a Good Fit If...
  • Prefer advising to executing. You'll configure workflows, build automations, and chase contracts, not hand off strategy decks.

  • Expect a mature function. You'll be building our infrastructure, not maintaining one.

  • Dislike ambiguity. Direction won't always be clear, and you'll make judgment calls.

  • Don't love documentation. We're fully remote and communicate in writing. Your docs should let others plug in without a meeting.

Bonus Points
  • Digital health, healthcare, or employer/health plan experience

  • Using AI to automate sales workflows or CRM updates

  • Outbound and data tools (Outreach, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Apollo, etc.)

What We Offer
  • A mission-driven team working at the intersection of autoimmune health and scalable care delivery

  • The chance to build and own the operational foundation of a growing commercial team

  • A base salary range of $127,000 - 140,000: placement within it depends on directly relevant skills and experiences you bring to the role. Additionally, this role includes competitive equity, benefits, and remote work.
