The role of the Senior Sales Specialist for Pricing & Reference Data, is to develop Pricing and Reference data opportunities with our America’s prospects and existing FactSet clients. Our prospects list includes Investment Management, Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and Wealth Management firms. 

The role will focus on scaling our Pricing and Reference data feed business and will involve/own all aspects of the sale from lead generation, sales pitch, to close. You will work closely in partnership with the New Business team and also call on existing clients. 

You will be adept at conversation while also having the knowledge and skillset to match prospects’ investment workflow needs with FactSet solutions, self-motivated, technology tools adept and KPI driven.  

Key Responsibilities include:  

  • Drive business growth for both products by achieving sales goals through direct prospecting efforts and partnering with General Sales.   

  • Work closely on all opportunities helping in progressing the opportunities which will include Coverage Check, Solution design and commercials to close deals  

  • Work with the Buyside, Sell-side and EGP sales organization to ensure regional specialty product sales team understands how to position new products appropriately in each region.   

  • Put together business/sales plan for your territory, clients and execute on sales campaigns. 

  • Synthesize and share specific feedback to drive priorities on product development and enhancements.    

  • Refine FactSet’s sales pitch and help empower the broader FactSet sales force with the information, collateral & client references  needed to ensure  high quality meetings with Middle and Back office  professionals.   

  • Interact frequently with client and colleagues to develop and maintain relationships, either virtual or in person.   

    

Key Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree required (concentration in business, finance or technology preferred).   

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with strong record of accomplishment of delivering sales results at individual  level.   

  • Clear & extensive understanding of Security Reference and Benchmark workflows across multiple firm-types.  

  • Must have extensive network of key client contacts.   

  • Self-starter with proven record of bringing an energetic and entrepreneurial mindset to initiatives and teams.  

  • Rapport-building skills with C-suite and senior-level decision makers as well as broader sales and consulting stakeholders.   

  • Understanding of competitive landscape and ability to represent the differentiated advantage of FactSet’s offering vis-a-vis our competitors.   

  • Ability to lead with inspiration and generate an inclusive culture with a focus on Diversity & Equity where individuals and teams are driven to win.  

Job location: Boston, New York and Norwalk

Working Environment: Hybrid

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. 

The budgeted amount range for this position in the States of Connecticut and New York City is $152,000 - $190,000
