The team

Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team’s partner with some of the largest most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. Whether you are selling to a small business or a large enterprise, you will apply your extensive knowledge of our solutions, and leverage our strategic partnerships to help our customers grow their top and bottom line.

This Position

The Director of Business Development drives engagement with strategic business Partners as a member of the North America Business Development team; and, aligns to DocuSign’s Commercial segment. The BD Director creates and executes the GTM strategy with a focus on pipeline development and revenue generation. This is a revenue-generating and growing team that has a direct impact on the success of the Partners organization.

This position reports to the Senior Director of North America Business Development and Channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with key strategic Partners
  • Negotiate Partner agreements
  • Drive revenue through and with partner teams committed to DocuSign business lines
  • Identify strategic imperatives for partner success for the Commercial segment across North America
  • Create annual partner GTM plans with Sales Management
  • Work with Commercial Sales teams to generate revenue through partner channels
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue through partners
  • Work cross functionally to execute GTM activities with partners
  • Act as the primary point of contact for your partners internally and externally

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience, in a SaaS company, in Partner Sales, Business Development, Alliances or Channel Sales
  • BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in Partner Sales or Business Development – including the development of long-term, strategic Partnerships
  • Execution-focused and able to think strategically
  • Track record of exceeding quota targets
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership - collaboration across the org with various departments
  • Self-starter with effective time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strength in presentation to senior client and partner leadership
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • MBA or Master’s Degree a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
