The team
Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team’s partner with some of the largest most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. Whether you are selling to a small business or a large enterprise, you will apply your extensive knowledge of our solutions, and leverage our strategic partnerships to help our customers grow their top and bottom line.

This position 
The Regional Vice President of Enterprise Corporate Sales will lead a team of Enterprise Corporate Sales (ECS) Account Executives (AE's) towards attainment of individual sales quotas. ECS AE’s are responsible for developing and closing business for new logos and expanding the current DocuSign footprint in customer accounts within DocuSign’s Enterprise market. This sales leader must be able to empower, measure, motivate, monitor and hold the team accountable for activities and quarterly quota attainment. They should mentor and coach each AE individually while also building a strong cohesive, collaborative team and leading by example. They are responsible for sales forecasting, working closely with cross functional members of the account team and delivering on quota.

Responsibilities 

  • Attract, hire, on-board and retain top talent
  • Daily management of ECS team – Includes pipeline/deal review, coaching & customer facing within sales cycles
  • Grow DocuSign revenue within the Enterprise segment by selling into prospect & install base accounts 
  • Coach team to develop their sales skills including value selling, solution mapping, forecasting, prospecting within account base, negotiations, & other necessary skills; while maintaining individual accountability to goals 
  • Assess sales activities & forecasts, determine sales progress & required improvements
  • Provide value in complex negotiations & the closing of business, including appropriate use of Senior Sales & Corporate Executives to maximize results 
  • Ensure the team effectively leverages sales tools & systems consistently & in alignment with Rules of Engagement
  • Identifies & supports opportunities for the training & professional development of department personnel
  • Collaborate with various internal teams and stakeholders to drive results and customer success
  • Communicate & prioritize product & business needs from the field to appropriate corporate departments
  • Maintain/protect DocuSign core values by hiring culturally aligned team members & leading by example
  • Identify & support opportunities for the training & professional development of department personnel
  • Acts as an effective sales executive to leverage in the sales cycle
  • Operates well in a fast paced, dynamic environment without requiring significant supervision 

Basic Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of sales management experience, specifically within software sales, leading teams of sales professionals
  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of prior experience managing sales teams within software, ideally SaaS-based offerings (both on-premise and Cloud). This includes the ability to coach as well as mentor and enable a rapidly growing team
  • Prior experience developing and maintaining business, sales, & account plans as well as negotiating & closing complex deals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – includes excellent reporting and forecasting skills. Attention to detail is critical
  • Prior experience selling an eSignature or Agreement or Document solution also helpful
  • Experience selling into a variety of industries and territories as well as experience cultivating larger, strategic relationships key
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently generate revenue & exceed quota by managing process for identifying, qualifying, & closing new business as well as and not limited to growing an existing install base as well as securing net-new logos
  • Able to successfully resolve situations that are broadly defined, complex, diverse, and, occasionally unprecedented
  • Capacity to work on cross-functional projects and teams and leverage internal resources to problem-solve
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com
  • Willingness to travel 25% or more as needed
  • MBA helpful
