ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Vice President will join a seasoned executive team as the organization leverages Series C funding to systematize the sales process for key products with demonstrated market traction. The executive team has broad, hands-on experience in enterprise scaling activities in SaaS companies. They seek a peer with equivalent experience and the talent to lead sales through a period of explosive growth. The Senior Vice President will report to the CEO and will partner with the entire executive team to make strategic decisions. The Senior Vice President will be responsible for all direct sales, business development, strategic partnerships, customer success, and account management. He/she will lead and own the effort to create a repeatable, systematic sales process for products with a demonstrated market fit.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Among other responsibilities, the Senior Vice President will:

  • Own the development and implementation of a systematic and repeatable sales process for existing products with demonstrated product-market fit
  • Own sales strategy development and execution efforts, including:
    • Nurturing existing customer/partner relationships to uncover new use cases through strong leadership of the entire customer-relationship team, spanning sales to customer success and account management
    • Diversifying revenue streams
  • Lead and grow the following teams:
    • A diverse sales team that drives revenue across CPGs, retailers, media partners, strategic partners, and existing clients
    • An innovative business development team focused on discovering new use cases within new customer segments
    • A strong customer success team that seamlessly shepherds customers through the onboarding and implementation of Label Insight’s products
    • An account management team focused on retaining, nurturing, and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Drive cohesion across the sales team and between sales/other departments
  • Create the operational stability required to support scalability and repeatability
  • Represent the company across the industry at events and conferences
     

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Experience: 10 to 15  years of sales and sales management experience with at least 5 years leading sales strategy and management in a growth-equity backed, growth stage, cloud-based software-as-a-service company.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Highly analytical with data-driven DNA combined with an incredible attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Impeccable integrity and ethics
  • Documented success in recruiting, structuring, developing, and motivating well-rounded and effective, top-notch sales practitioners in a high-growth environment
  • Combined love for selling and for managing the sales process; hands-on but does not have to own every relationship; encourages, drives and mentors a successful team
  • Proven capability to initiate high-level contact with clients
  • Ability to build trust broadly across the organization and with partners, and to manage interactions and influence at all levels of the company
