Salesforce Developer, Frontend / UI

Shift4 is expanding globally, and we're building up our Salesforce teams! We're seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer specializing in Frontend Development (CSS, JavaScript, LWC) to create engaging user experiences, build intuitive Salesforce Experience Cloud sites, and deliver robust, scalable frontend solutions. This role requires deep experience in frontend technologies combined with Salesforce development skills, enabling you to shape user-centric experiences within our expanding global Salesforce ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Frontend Development & UI/UX Implementation:

  • Design and develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Lightning Web Components (LWC), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Build and optimize Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities) sites, ensuring seamless user experiences and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, translating design mockups into functional Salesforce components and interfaces.

Technical Development & Salesforce Engineering:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance custom Salesforce solutions using declarative and programmatic tools (LWC, Apex, Flows).
  • Ensure compatibility and responsiveness across various browsers and devices, optimizing user experience and performance.
  • Contribute to developing best practices for frontend Salesforce development, maintaining high standards for quality and maintainability.

Integration & Collaboration:

  • Integrate frontend components with Salesforce backend services, leveraging REST APIs, Platform Events, and data services.
  • Work cross-functionally with Salesforce Administrators, Backend Developers, Product Managers, and Architects to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and scalability needs.

Quality Assurance & DevOps:

  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of frontend code, ensuring high-quality and efficient performance.
  • Support Salesforce DevOps processes, including CI/CD deployments using tools like Gearset and Git.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to frontend components, user experience flows, and implementation details.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Stay updated on emerging frontend trends and Salesforce platform advancements, proactively recommending improvements and adopting new technologies.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing input into sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical task estimations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • 2+ years experience designing and developing responsive, high-performance UI /user interfaces using Lightning Web Components (LWC), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrable experience building and maintaining Salesforce Experience Cloud sites.
  • Experience collaborating closely with UX/UI designers, translating design mockups into functional Salesforce components and interfaces
  • Proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC) development, Apex integration, and responsive UI implementation.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools and processes (Gearset, Git, CI/CD).
  • Good understanding of UI/UX design principles, accessibility standards, and browser compatibility best practices.

Preferred Qualifications (Additional experience that is a plus to have):

  • Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce JavaScript Developer I, Experience Cloud Consultant, 
    Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer or Salesforce UX Designer). 
    Experience working with Financial Services Cloud or other regulated Salesforce environments.
  • Familiarity with frontend performance optimization techniques and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
  • Background in Agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
