Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS) is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Platform Specialist & Analyst to support the enhancement, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise Salesforce environments. This hybrid role, based in Adelphi, Maryland, combines advanced Salesforce administration, platform development, business analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver scalable and innovative CRM solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across Salesforce declarative and programmatic development, strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, and experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Position Summary

As a Salesforce Platform Specialist & Analyst, you will play a dual role focused on both platform administration and advanced Salesforce development. You will configure, customize, and enhance Salesforce solutions that align with organizational objectives and improve operational efficiency. This role requires expertise in Salesforce Flows, Apex development, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and requirements analysis.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to design scalable solutions, resolve platform issues, and continuously improve the Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Building Enhancements (40%)

  • Design, develop, and optimize Salesforce Flows to support scalable and maintainable business processes
  • Develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce technologies
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, development standards, and processes
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices, security standards, and scalability requirements

Defect Resolution (40%)

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring platform issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects within Flows, Apex classes, Lightning components, and integrations
  • Optimize platform performance, maintainability, and system reliability
  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing Salesforce configurations and code quality

Refinement & Requirement Gathering (20%)

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine business and technical requirements
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and actionable user stories
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and refinement sessions
  • Document solution designs, acceptance criteria, and implementation details
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience with a strong mix of declarative and development expertise
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (Required)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (Required)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification (Preferred)
  • Strong expertise with Salesforce Flows and automation tools
  • Proficiency with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce development best practices
  • Experience designing and supporting Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Copado, or Gearset
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts
  • Experience troubleshooting complex Salesforce platform issues independently
  • Prior experience supporting USM or UMGC environments is preferred

Preferred Skills & Expertise

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, and governor limits
  • Experience with Service Cloud, Omni-Channel, Case Management, Knowledge Management, CTI, SMS, and Chat integrations
  • Familiarity with Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Einstein Analytics
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within hybrid and remote environments
  • Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
  • Strong ability to assess downstream system and data impacts for new enhancements
