Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW/4HANA Consultant with strong expertise in SAP HANA Modeling, SAP BW/4HANA, data integration, ABAP, SQL, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). The consultant will design, develop, and implement scalable data warehousing and reporting solutions while integrating data from SAP and non-SAP source systems.

Location: Chicago, IL — Day 1 Onsite
Contract: 12+ Months

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements from business stakeholders.

  • Design end-to-end SAP BW/4HANA and SAP HANA solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

  • Develop and optimize SAP HANA Calculation Views, CDS Views, and SAP BW/4HANA data models, including ADSOs, Composite Providers, and Open ODS Views.

  • Design and implement SAP Smart Data Integration (SDI) and ETL processes for SAP and non-SAP systems.

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and scripts.

  • Perform performance tuning for queries, data loads, and overall system scalability.

  • Support reporting tools and dashboards by developing clean, reliable, and optimized data models.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and data validation.

  • Troubleshoot data integration and performance-related issues.

  • Create technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and support documentation.

  • Support BW 7.5 on HANA to BW/4HANA migration activities.

  • Collaborate effectively with technical teams, business users, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA Modeling

  • Expertise in SAP BW/4HANA Modeling

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Smart Data Integration (SDI) and ETL processes

  • Strong experience with ABAP

  • Advanced SQL skills

  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS)

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures

  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization

  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

  • Experience with BW 7.5 on HANA to BW/4HANA migration

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • 10–12+ years of experience with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAC

  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehousing solutions

  • Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of an organization

  • Pharma or Manufacturing industry experience is highly desired

  • Ability to work onsite in Chicago, IL from Day 1
