Hillel Torah, located in Skokie, is seeking a warm and energetic school social work intern for the 2026-2027 school
year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children, excellent interpersonal skills, and an organized, proactive working style. The School Social Work intern is directly supervised by our School Social Worker and serves as a member of a broader student support team.
Responsibilities
● Work closely with students, parents, teachers, and administrators in grades K-8 toproblem-solve and support students’ social/emotional and behavioral well-being.
● Work 1:1 with students with a range of social/emotional challenges.
● Co-facilitate social skills groups.
● Create and implement student treatment plans
● Write up 2 weekly process recordings and individual case notes
Qualifications
● 2nd year social work program working towards a type 73
● Preferred specialization in schools
Compensation & Academic Credit:
This internship is unpaid. Students may be eligible to receive academic credit, subject to their institution’s policies and approval.
