Job Description

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) owns quality and reliability for assigned product areas at Ensora Health, building scalable automated testing solutions that ensure software performs reliably, safely, and at scale. This role leverages modern engineering practices and AI-driven tools to enhance test coverage, accelerate feedback cycles, and improve release confidence. Operating independently across the test engineering lifecycle, the SDET partners closely with engineering and product teams to proactively identify risk, drive quality, and enable faster, smarter delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Own quality and reliability for assigned product areas, designing and implementing automated test frameworks across APIs, backend services, and UI components

  • Build and maintain scalable test automation infrastructure integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality feedback

  • Leverage AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent automation techniques to increase test coverage, optimize test creation, and improve defect detection

  • Apply AI-driven analysis to identify failure patterns, test gaps, and areas of risk across complex systems

  • Validate complex software behaviors including edge cases, integration boundaries, and regression scenarios across releases

  • Partner with engineering and product teams to define testable requirements and identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high-confidence releases through continuous validation

  • Analyze test results and performance using both traditional and AI-driven insights to improve testing strategies and engineering practices

  • Contribute to release readiness, communicating quality status and coverage clearly to stakeholders

  • Mentor junior SDETs, promoting best practices in automation, quality engineering, and effective use of AI tools in testing

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience as an SDET, QA engineer, or software developer with a strong focus on test automation

  • Strong proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language

  • Demonstrated experience designing automated test frameworks across APIs, backend systems, and UI

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as PyTest, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar

  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools, intelligent test generation, or data-driven quality analysis (nice to have)

  • Solid understanding of version control (Git or equivalent)

  • Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply emerging technologies like AI to improve quality outcomes
