Role Description: 

 

Client Solutions and Implementations Managers are responsible for the project management of both new client and incremental business to the Securities Services organization within JPMorgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank. The role covers a diverse client base that includes Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Pension Funds, Government Sponsored Enterprises, Banks, Broker Dealers and Insurance Companies. 

 

Solutions and Implementation activities cover all Securities Services products including, but not limited to: Custody, Fund Accounting, Fund Admin, Hedge Funds Servicing, Investment Analytics, Compliance, ETFs, IMOS, Private Equity and Real Estate Services, Securities Lending, Collateral Management, Prime Custody, Trading Services and Fusion. The scale of activity ranges from single product implementations to complex deals involving multiple products and entities and include a range of stakeholders. 

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Implementation: 

  • Lead execution of key implementation projects managing both direct and indirect resources across multiple locations and disciplines 

  • Drive the client requirements gathering process, propose and influence target solutions for the client 

  • Ensure client requirements are understood and work closely with internal partners to design, document and collect appropriate sign off on scope and solutions 

  • Own and drive project activities including, but not limited to: 

  • Develop and manage project delivery plans 

  • Facilitate negotiating of client legal agreements 

  • Execute plans with robust governance and reporting 

  • Actively mitigate and manage project risk by coordinating timely resolution of issues 

  • Scope containment and change management 

  • Manage and motivate virtual working teams across multiple locations and disciplines 

  • Execute post implementation and production satisfaction reviews to continually improve practices 

  • Effectively prioritize, track and report on all projects in the pipeline. 

  • Ensure compliance with all controls and procedures  

  • Own all project communication to internal and external stakeholders 

  • Complete all of the above while delivering high levels of internal and external client satisfaction 

 

Related Responsibilities: 

  • Actively contribute strategies for delivering excellent client experience. 

  • Ongoing process improvement, identify potential tactical and strategic improvements to implementation processes and drive results 

  • Proactively drive internal team and department-wide initiatives as agreed upon 

  • Work with Sales and RFP teams in pre-win phase to ensure Solutions team is effectively represented 

  • Actively represent and champion the Solutions team in the Sales cycle; participate in pitches and lead Implementation dialogue with internal partners and clients across all product disciplines 

  • Actively influence senior executives at key clients 

   

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Knowledge 

  • Working knowledge of multiple Securities Services products such as Custody, Fund Accounting, Fund Admin, Hedge Funds Servicing, Investment Analytics, Compliance, ETFs, IMOS, Private Equity and Real Estate Services, Securities Lending, Collateral Management, Prime Custody, Trading Services and Fusion. 

 

Skills 

  • Project and program management skills 

  • Highly structured and methodical in execution 

  • Clear, articulate and concise verbal and written communication 

  • Client-facing skills 

  • Proven ability to influence and work collaboratively with multiple internal disciplines (sales, operations, technology, product management) 

  • Strong presentation skills 

  • Keen eye for identifying and resolving risks 

  • Ability to systematically remove ambiguity from projects 

  • Relationship skills - ability to gain access to individuals within a wide range of functions in the organization; earn a reputation for integrity, intelligence and problem solving 

  • Work well in an evolving environment 

 

 

Experience 

  • 5-10 Years in Financial Services particularly Securities Servicing Industry. 

  • 3+ years in a client facing project management role or commensurate experience
