Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. 

  • Estimated annual base pay: $78,000(minimum) - $102,000(midpoint) - $125,000(maximum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert on assigned security tools and related processes. Educate junior staff on tool usage, configurations and improvements.

  • Subject matter expert on security tools and evaluate the potential impact of cybersecurity threats on assets and operations.

  • Perform detailed analysis of detected threats, correlating data from multiple sources to determine the scope and impact of potential incidents.

  • Investigate and coordinate responses to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring containment and mitigation of threats.

  • Coordinate recovery activities, including system restoration and validation, while documenting lessons learned to improve recovery processes.

Key Skills:

  • Network Security: Experienced in designing, implementing, and managing network security and optimizing tools such as firewalls, NAC, and remote access.

  • Cloud Security: Proficient in secure operations of cloud platforms. Configure and tune cloud security tools like CNAPP and conditional access.

  • Application Security: Configure scans, generate reports, and address identity management, identity protections, and security posturing for application teams.

  • Data Security: Subject matter expert on data protection, encryption, secure storage, eDiscovery, and data retention.

  • Incident Response: Experienced in developing and executing incident response plans to effectively address and mitigate security breaches.

  • Risk Assessment: Lead risk, threat, and vulnerability management by conducting routine assessments using established tools and methodologies.

  • Endpoint Security: Skilled in creating hardened golden images with DoD/DISA STIGs for Windows, Linux, and networking equipment, ensuring EDR and malware protection.

  • Security Operations: Be a subject matter expert on common security tools, such as SIEM systems, to monitor, analyze, and report security events.

  • Documentation: Skilled in creating detailed security policies, procedures, and reports to support organizational security initiatives and compliance efforts.

  • Communication: Communicates security procedures and issues to ensure understanding and support compliance.
