The Senior Accountant will become a subject matter expert on the monthly revenue and membership for the Senior Community Care business. They will be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, creating reporting and performing ad hoc analysis on areas of expertise. The individual in this role will also be responsible for maintaining the balance sheet reconciliations related to the receivable and liability accounts used in the monthly journal entries, as well as organizing and providing commentary on P&L or BS accounts to assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements. This exciting role gives the opportunity to collaborate and work with others on the accounting team, the finance team and within other areas and segments of the business.

- Prepare monthly reporting to supplement the month end close
- Prepare quality Account Reconciliations and make quality improvements
- Provide audit support to internal and external auditors
- Perform Ad Hoc membership and revenue variance analysis and investigate differences
- Refresh monthly flux files and provide meaningful commentary for period over period variances on the P&L and BS
- Create and maintain process documentation

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 2+ years of finance and accounting experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven self-motivated with attention to detail
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities to address issues in daily work
- Demonstrated time management skills to properly plan and execute on deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and ownership of assignments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accounting and Finance systems experience - PeopleSoft, SmartView / Essbase
- Experience working with large amounts of data
