What You'll Bring:
- 3 plus years of experience in Public Accounting ( Big 4) combined with Corporate accounting background
- CPA is required
- Experience with financial reporting, journal entries and account reconciliations
- Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance and generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret and work with data from varying systems and to solve moderately complex operational problems
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
We’d Love To See
- Experience with ERP systems, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Power BI, OneStream, Blackline, High Radius
- Experience with technical accounting research and written communications
- Experience with accounting subledgers, fulfillment platforms, connectivity to general ledger and related reporting systems
Impact You'll Make:
Reporting to the Technical Accounting Manager, the AF Sr Accountant II - Technical Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Allowance for Doubtful Accounts will play a critical role in executing the U.S. Markets segment accounting for the Revenue, Deferred Revenue, Bad Debt Expense, and the Allowance for Doubtful Accounts. This candidate will partner with FP&A, Sales, Accounting, and Global Shared Services offshore partners to ensure a well-controlled, efficient reporting function across the U.S. Markets operating segment. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the following items, including but not limited to:
- Review and approval of offshore accounting staff prepared journal entries
- Review and approval of related account reconciliations prepared by offshore accounting staff; drive timely resolution of reconciling items
- Preparation of technically complex financial models, journal entries, public disclosures
- Participant in work groups related to technological transformations including but not limited to underlying technological delivery platforms, CRM, and business intelligence toolsets
- Ownership of the Current Expected Credit Loss reserve (CECL), including special reserves
- Identify and execute opportunities to streamline and automate analytics, insights, and business processes relevant to revenue recognition and related financial reporting, including leveraging of artificial intelligence
- Supports technical accounting revenue interpretations of sales contracts, emerging products, and revenue sharing arrangements
- Integration partner for revenue recognition and financial reporting on new business acquisitions, including related accounting chartfield design
- Supports external and internal audit including scoping work, internal controls testing, reviewing supporting documentation, responding to auditor inquiries

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Benefits:

Pay Scale Information :The U.S. base salary range for this position is $82,700.00 - $120,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
