Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant owns key components of the monthly close, sensor-level cost tracking, balance sheet integrity, and AP/AR operations. This role is hands-on and detail-heavy, requiring strong technical accounting skills, comfort with hardware + SaaS operational models, and the ability to build GAAP-worthy processes from the ground up.
Core Responsibilities• Monthly Close & GAAP Reporting
• Sensor Costing, WIP, and Fixed Asset Tracking
• Accounts Payable & Disbursements
• Accounts Receivable & Billing Support
• Systems, Automation, and Process Improvement
1. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids, accruals, WIP, fixed assets, deferred revenue, AP/AR).
2. Review AP invoice submissions and ensure proper breakout by sensor serial number.
3. Maintain SensorCosts, SensorMaster, WIP, and cohort tracking.
4. Process capitalization entries and monthly cohort depreciation.
5. Manage AP workflows via Brex/Mercury.
6. Support customer billing and revenue accuracy.
7. Assist with NetSuite migration and process automation initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 3–6+ years of accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge (ASC 360, WIP, PPE, fixed assets)
• Experience with hardware or IoT manufacturing preferred
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills
• Experience with QBO, NetSuite, Brex, Mercury a plus
