As a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Data Steward within PI Hub, you will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and documenting business requirements while ensuring alignment with established data governance standards. In this role, you will be a key contributor to advancing data governance excellence across PI Hub and will collaborate closely with fellow data stewards to promote standardization, consistency, and solid data governance practices throughout the enterprise. You will refine and clarify information needs, define data delivery methods, and support analytic applications-all while embedding governance principles into every process.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating system outputs, interpreting business needs, supporting end users, identifying enhancements, performing impact analysis, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Leveraging your expertise in data governance, you will ensure data quality, compliance, and stewardship practices are consistently applied.

Primary Responsibilities:
Data Governance Leadership
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices across business systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks

Data Stewardship & Quality
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, integrity, and consistency across enterprise systems
  • Execute reviews of key business systems and validate adherence to governance standards

Analysis & Documentation
  • Investigate, analyze, and document requirements for data governance and stewardship processes
  • Develop/update requirements for enhancements to governance tools and workflows

Operational & Strategic Support
  • Support short- and long-term governance objectives through data analysis and process improvement
  • Provide effective challenge to existing methodologies, policies, and procedures to strengthen governance

Reporting & Communication
  • Prepare governance compliance reports for business owners and senior management
  • Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs, process flows, and governance documentation

Change Management
  • Participate in governance-related change initiatives and monitor implementation effectiveness

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Data Governance frameworks, policies, and tools
  • Proven prior experience as a Data Steward Lead or similar governance-focused role
  • Proven track record of leading Data Quality and compliance initiatives, including audit processes
  • Demonstrated foundational understanding of Data Engineering principles
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of relational database concepts and advanced SQL skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint; familiarity with governance platforms
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated exceptional Stakeholder management skills across all levels

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with Data Catalogs, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud databases (Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile concepts / Python experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of any of the following: GDPR / HIPAA/ PHI / PII
