Job Description

The Senior Client Strategist is a pivotal member of our Financial Services account support team, driving revenue through the successful design and implementation of customer acquisition and growth programs for banks and credit unions. This strategic role combines consultative sales expertise with deep financial services knowledge to deliver measurable business outcomes for our clients. 

Working closely with Account Executives during the sales cycle, the Senior Client Strategist conducts thorough discovery to uncover and understand clients' business challenges, then architects solutions leveraging Vericast's capabilities. Post-sale, they maintain high-touch relationships with clients to ensure program success, drive optimization, and secure renewals by consistently delivering against identified goals. Throughout the client relationship lifecycle, the Senior Client Strategist is empowered to discover and develop value-added strategic opportunities.  

The Senior Client Strategist serves as a trusted advisor to bank and credit union executives, bringing industry expertise and data-driven insights to help them navigate complex business challenges. They contribute to Vericast's thought leadership platform through content creation, speaking engagements, and the development of compelling point-of-view materials that demonstrate our deep understanding of the financial services landscape. 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

Strategic Sales & Solution Design (50%) 

  • Partners with Sales Directors to develop territory execution plans for Vericast marketing solutions.  

  • Partners with Account Executives and other sales team members to conduct detailed discovery with bank and credit union stakeholders across multiple departments and levels of seniority 

  • Leverages deep industry expertise and creative problem-solving to architect solutions that address complex business challenges 

  • Develops comprehensive program strategies incorporating multi-channel approaches, success metrics, and measurement frameworks 

  • Creates and delivers executive-level presentations that tell compelling stories through data and demonstrate clear paths to ROI 

  • Maintains strong relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers to drive program expansion and renewals 

Thought Leadership & Market Expertise (25%) 

  • Creates compelling content (articles, white papers, webinars) that positions Vericast as an industry thought leader 

  • Stays current on financial services trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior patterns 

  • Provides market insights and strategic guidance to internal teams 

  • Develops and delivers training materials to help Account Executives better understand client needs and solution capabilities 

  • Identifies emerging market opportunities and provides input to product development teams 

Program Optimization & Client Success (25%) 

  • Partners with clients post-sale to ensure successful program implementation and optimization 

  • Analyzes program performance data to identify opportunities for improvement 

  • Develops and presents quarterly business reviews to demonstrate program value and ROI 

  • Proactively identifies cross-sell and upsell opportunities based on client needs and program performance 

  • Facilitates knowledge sharing across internal teams to drive continuous improvement 

Qualifications

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)

  • MBA or relevant graduate degree (Preferred)

  • Industry certifications are a plus 

EXPERIENCE 

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services marketing, customer experience, or related fields 

  • Previous senior management role (VP+) in bank or credit union marketing/CX required, with experience across multiple institutions preferred 

  • Management consulting experience with top-tier firms focusing on financial services is highly desirable 

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful customer acquisition and retention programs 

  • Demonstrated experience presenting to and building relationships with C-level executives 

  • Experience using data analytics tools and technologies to drive business decisions 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 

  • Provide strategic guidance to financial institution clients covering industry dynamics, trends, and regulatory environment 

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) 

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain C-level relationships 

  • Experience with marketing technology platforms and marketing automation tools 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills 

  • Ability to travel at least 50% of time for in-person client meetings and presentations 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and as part of a team 

  • Demonstrated success in consultative sales approaches and complex solution selling 

  • Deep understanding of multi-channel marketing strategies and measurement frameworks 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint for creating compelling presentations 

This position reports to the Dir Client Strategy and requires significant travel (50%+) to meet with clients in person. While officially remote, the role demands regular face-to-face interaction with clients and internal teams to drive successful outcomes. 

Additional Information

Base Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000

Position is eligible for a sales incentive/commission program.

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
